Recovering Progress and Social Media Managing

It’s been a little over a week since I had surgery. I expected to feel much more like myself by now, but I am not. Truth be told, I’m not sure another two or three weeks will be enough to feel like myself and be ready to tackle all the work I believe I should be doing. It is a challenge for me to say that as I’m the one who goes, does, and accomplishes on a daily basis. I give my all to what project is at hand and know no other way to work. I give myself to the words that I create and the interactions I have. I bring compassion, empathy, and understanding to the surface – and see customers and clients for businesses extend great loyalty in return.

I had surgery on Valentine’s Day. I only took the 14th off work. I was up and back to doing what I do the next morning. In my morning routine, I had to look back over the prior days events and comments, questions, and concerns posted and asked by my employers customer base. What I found was that they received no response.

In social media, a question asked to a company that receives no answer is like expecting an electric range to boil water when the power is off. You simply cannot leave a question hanging. Continue reading

I went in for my mammogram and subsequently an ultrasound. I listened as concern was expressed regarding the mutant that had grown within my breast. The word cancer was stated with every appointment I had. We discussed size, feel, location, concern, testing, surgery, and more. Each appointment brought more angst towards this cluster of cells that had grown within a portion of my body that defines a woman. The day finally came when I met with the surgeon to discuss my options where surgery was concerned.. Continue reading

The Dream

dream of death

It’s terrifying to view a cemetery lined with faces you know; your husband, children, parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and strangers – showing support for those who love you most.

That was the dream that pulled me from a deep slumber. It was a dream that rattled me to the core. It was a dream that reflects my greatest fears at this moment in time. It is a dream that mirrors the doctors and tests . . . Continue reading

Life is a beautifully crazy work of art.

Life is a beautifully crazy work of art. It’s like an artists palate. Neatly organized at start, but quickly becomes blended. Some might see the mess, but to the right person… Continue reading
